Home-groups offer the chance to walk out and share the journey of faith in practical ways. They provide a platform to dig deeper into the Bible and discuss some of the challenging issues that may arise as we seek to apply its teaching to our lives. Home-groups are also a great way to build deeper relationships with others in the church as some of the nuts and bolts of living as a disciple of Jesus can be worked out in a small group setting in ways that are not possible in larger groups.
Home-groups currently run every 2nd and 4th weeks of the month. There are 5 home-groups in the church and all have their own emphasis. Some run on a Tuesday evening, some on a Wednesday evening, and one on a Wednesday lunchtime.
The Hillfields home-group is led by Jamie and Shaneen, two of the elders. They both have a passion for blessing people and seeing them grow in their faith. The home-group has focussed on a variety of topics, including worship and prayer. More recent studies have been on Elijah and the book of James. The group seeks to live out its faith in practical ways and looks to build unity through strengthening relationships with one another in the group.
The Oldbury Court home-group is led by Mike and Mary. They both have a deep love for the Lord and seeing others experience God’s presence and walk by faith. They share wonderful testimonies and the group decide on the topics of discussion.
